It’s windy tonight… really windy.. I’m standing in it now… I can see the stars so clearly – they’re brighter than usual.. It’s a nice cool windy night. I’ve been thinking about the sun lately. When you live in the desert you can feel the sun. It isn’t simply this afterthought.. It is present in each moment while you are outside (especially during the summer). I love leaving my dark little office to go out and stand facing the sun. I sort of close my eyes and I feel closer to whatever is true and real out there. I can understand why some desert cultures in the past woshipped the sun. It’s so huge and real and in your face. You can touch it…

Tonight we said goodbye to Thomas again! He’s on his way to Colorado to create a homestead for his wife and child, Noah. He’s doing a lot of great things and I’m really proud of his faith and courage as he takes on life. It was fun spending time with him and John now that we’re older .. My brothers both turned out awesome. Like guys I would want to be friends with even if they weren’t family.

I have completely lost touch with nature. It’s like “still” and “real” have become foriegn, frightening concepts to me.
I’m sitting out here now.. The sun is going down.. Little birds are running around the grass looking for food.. I’m typing this now probably because I can’t just sit still and relax .. Take it all in..
I feel like I was wired a certain way and that wiring doesn’t allow me to see things the way I’d like to.. On the other hand, maybe I’ve simply burrowed away from he world, filling my mind with computers & projects & distractions for so long that I don’t even know what to do with reality. I write and talk about not missing the point of life so much.. But moments like this I feel like I’m just writing to myself.
I guess I’m a reality evangelist but I don’t yet have the ability to realize what I speak of. I’ve never seen it so clearly.. Laika, the entire film .. I wrote it for myself. Maybe I was hoping it would wake me up before I die. That’s what the whole thing was about.
It smells so real outside.. The wind is blowing

I had to post something here so you knew you weren’t just writing to yourself – and also I think I know what you mean… the “almost but not yet”

Thanks – I feel like I am realizing certain things but they just aren’t becoming part of my reality or thinking .. It doesn’t make any sense.

McDonald’s loses. I have their catchy “ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I’m lovin’ it” theme song in my head. But they lose because I’m eating a breakfast burrito from Los Favouritos as I sing it to myself.

I’ve got an Amazon gift certificate burning holes in my pocket,
and I want to get the most bang for my buck.Enter the Secret Amazon Web Pages:
This is where you’re going to find the “latest sales, rebates, and limited-time offers” from
Amazon, and you can score some pretty deep discounts if you’re a savvy shopper.Next, there’s the special Sale link. This is open every Friday, and ONLY on Fridays.
You can find the same good discounts here as you would in hidden Deals, although some
Fridays you can really get lucky and make off like an Amazon bandit – I’ve seen discounts
there as low as 75% off sticker price. -

Look what I found in the pet store last night. See that, the little alien is reading a book in the hamster’s waste compartment. Look closely, it’s an alien hamster. I don’t think I’ll ever see anything this amazing again.

jamie
Can we get a hamster?
-
David Mulhern
I already told you! No!

Have you ever been standing in line at the grocery store and seen the Archie comics right there by the checkout and wondered, “how did they get such a prominent spot in the store? I mean, who buys Archie comics?”
Well, I’m part of the problem. Every once in a while.. I buy Archie comics. Why? Take the image below for example.

as you can well see archie inc. owns more than half of the worlds economy. that hampster thing was his idea and so was gravity. dont question archie or jughead might getcha!

Well, I put some new photos from my digital camera up. I’ve been using the Lomo a lot but I still sometimes take normal shots. In my dreams, I’m always looking for some sort of a camera to capture some beautiful thing in the dream. It’s wierd though, because I can’t remember ever finding one. Anyway, the photos are at: davidmulhern.com/browse/sony.htm.
Also, I told Robert that I was going to draw this weekend.. so that’s just what I’ll do. Not much time, today is a barbeque.

I haven’t had a chance to come up for air for a while. I have so many fun projects to complete, I don’t even know where to begin .. I’m excited because I know there’s a so many wonderful colorful things waiting for me back on shore.

I can picture it now… David sitting underneath a huge, brightly multi-colored umbrella constructing a sandcastle that, when finished, he tries to convince Jamie to move into to use as their summer home because it’s just so COOL.

I can picture that too, now that you’ve said it. I hate that all I’ve had time to post is a post that says I don’t have time to post. (Craig pointed that out) Had fun at your birthday kt!
