I saw a commercial which told me I can write anything I want on M&Ms. I went to the website and they have a little tool which lets you type in a message on an M&M, preview it, then buy the candies.

You can have a maximum of two short messages. You can:

Interesting, I wonder if corporate would allow people to print such slogans and then have them associated with their special little candies?

Director of: Armageddon, Bad Boys, Transformers and now: 2012. Here’s the description: “Story follows an academic researcher who opens a portal into a parallel universe and makes contact with his double in order to stop an apocalypse foreseen by the ancient Mayans.” haha. A few people who know me know how this is funny.

This is an actual conversation I found in the forums at the Time Travel Institute. If you’ve never been there, it’s a place where people who have traveled through time answer questions from regular people like you and me.

For a while, I’ve been searching of a satelite image of the north pole. Well, I found one at NASA. For some reason, I like this picture better than the other popular night satelite images of the world. I like seeing the world from this perspective… Click on the image for a large version.

If you are a web developer of any type you have got to check out the silk icons collection. It’s a collection of 1000 icons which can be used for almost any project. And they are free. It’s definately worth checking out…. usually these collections cost $150+

After the tsunami in 2004, two homeless animals were sent to an animal sanctuary in Kenya. After meeting, they became best friends.

On the left is Owen, on the right is Mzee. Mzee is 130 years old! And they are best friends! There is even a book about them.

This is an actual conversation I found recorded somewhere on the web. It is teenage girls (I think) talking to each other in a forum. I can’t believe how strange the words they are using seem to me. Although it sort of makes sense it’s like reading a new language.

do you think this is the evolution of the american language? its not so much slang really, but a dialect of english that i can sort of understand but they speak fluently.

    • David Mulhern 10:37 pm on February 16th Permalink | Log in to Reply

It’s maybe the de-evolution of language – bringing it back to grunts… or maybe you’re right – removing all the excess – trimming the fat – it is sort of a step forward.
